Traineeship Information

Our student support team also assist trainees with progress updates, study strategies and motivation to keep them on track during their training period.

The Smart and Skilled Targeted Priorities Program

The Smart and Skilled Targeted Priorities Program supports the future of work that is rapidly changing in NSW. The Program is designed to enable industry and training organisations to respond rapidly to skills needs.

Financial Education is approved to offer NSW Smart & Skilled funding for the following qualifications:

  • FNS41420 Certificate IV in General Insurance
  • FNS41820 Certificate IV in Financial Services

This training is subsidised by the NSW Government.

Eligibility

To be eligible for NSW Smart & Skilled funding you must be:

  • 15 years old or over*
  • no longer at school
  • living or working in NSW
  • an Australian citizen, Australian permanent resident, humanitarian visa holder or New Zealand citizen.

It is a Government requirement to be 15 years of age to be eligible for the Smart and Skilled traineeships, however Financial Education Professionals requires trainees to be 18 years and over.

Traineeships – How they work

The AASN is the official conduit between you, the government and Financial Education Professionals. Your AASN Support team will help with questions, registration, submitting the Training Contract and processing your federal incentive claims.

FEP Traineeships and Entitlement qualifications

FNS41422 Certificate IV in General Insurance

FNS41422 Certificate IV in General Insurance is designed for individuals working in the insurance sector who want to deepen their knowledge and skills about insurance products and services.

This course is suitable for participants working in the finance industry, particularly those in banking and non-cash payment products and providing general advice in general insurance products.

Traineeship enrolment process

Our Student support team monitors trainees’ progress and assists throughout the traineeship.

The Employer contacts an Australian Apprenticeship Support Network to register Traineeship interest.

If eligible, the Australian Apprentice Support Network (AASN) sends us the Trainee’s Training Contract.

The Trainee is sent further information and an enrolment form to complete.

We submit to NSW Smart & Skilled and a Notification of Enrolment letter is provided accepting the trainee in the Traineeship.

The trainee will be enrolled into the course within 1 business day of receipt of all signed documentation.
